Before the Bell - Ventro up
NEW YORK, March 28 (Reuters) - Shares in Ventro Corp. (NasdaqNM:VNTR - news) rose in pre-opening trade on Wednesday after the company canceled a stock offering and reduced the size of a debt offering.

Ventro, a provider of business-to-business services for e-commerce, was at 92 on the Instinet electronic broker system, up from a Tuesday close of 79.

Ventro said late on Tuesday that it had called off an offering of 1.825 million shares and had reduced an offering of convertible subordinated notes to $250 million from $300 million.

Ventro shares fell $19 on Tuesday.
