at some point this issue could become too big a problem for e-bay...perhaps leading to restrictions or e-bay beginning to carry its own inventory....

We've bought several items on ebay, and think it's a lot of fun, but I always buy from someone with a lot of positive ratings. The positive ratings can only come from the other party in a particular transaction. If someone has a few hundred positive ratings, that's good enough for me. But otherwise, it's really a crapshoot. I have no idea what ebay is "worth," of course. We just love the service. Same for AOL, Amazon.com, Yahoo, Askjeeves, and our illustrious sponsor. Love the product. Don't own the stock.
