Another "ANEN" in the making - DIO broke out today.siliconinvestor.com DIO's CEO announced today they will substantially beats estimate this Q. Fundamentally, DIO stands to benefit in every semi cycle boom. Their 10 year chart shows this very clearly. They make a lot of the minor components (e.g. small signal transistors and MOSFETs, transient voltage suppressors, zeners, Schottkys, diodes, rectifiers and bridges) that go into every board and chipset in many different categories. In particular, they now have a growing presence in the super-hot telecommunication sector. As their most recent earning report indicated, they now stand to earn a lot as their expanded China fab come into leverage in the 2nd and 3rd Q's of 2000. That is 2-6 months timeframe we are talking about. Provided the overall semi industry health remains strong, DIO sees this leverage to provide maximum kick. This we know has a very strong likelihood to be true as this semi cycle that has started last year is very different from the previous in terms of breadth and momentum. This is definitely the giant wave versus just big waves of the past. And this giant wave will not recede for at least another year. Other positive factors that bode well for DIO for the next 5 months include: 1. Very strong book-to-bill order. 2. Hardly any visibility on the street so DIO is not a "discovered" semi play yet. 3. Next year and future year PE's are very appealing based on the explosive earning DIO can generate in the next few Q's. 4. Continuing margin expansion due to better product. 5. Great chart pattern - stock price is showing the momentum characteristics of steady, continuing higher high's. The mo-mo sponsorship is definitely growing and this is the first chart criteria in today's new economy stock market. Today's CEO announcement is the type of sponsorship the mo-mo crowds needs to kick it into the second gear. I expect DIO's chart pattern to start curving up exponentially from here, breaking away from the straight line uptrend.
