From one day to the next, due to spin, I'm not sure what I'm reporting. When dealing with those that are less than rational one cannot expect a less than irrational response. Might China invade Taiwan? Communism is not, at its base, rational.

I would think it more likely now than if GWB gets elected but less so than if Gore gets the nod, fwiw. I agree the boats & the action with planes says China is simply rattling the sabre. The movement of the missile batteries might say something else again.
