I just checked my configuration and I definitely use DNS (Domain Name Service) to get IP addressing. The other way to get this is through WINS (Windows Internet Name Service).

I haven't used WINS yet so can't help you there but if you don't use DNS, then in the same location as DNS there are WINS settings that should point your PC to 2 IP addresses.

BTW, who is your ADSL provider? DS
