Jon,

I really don't know where to begin. I have confused nothing and yes we are talking about flash memory file management. The claim was made that anyone wishing to come to market with a multi-codec/DRM player that plays all codecs natively and seamlessly will need the MicroOS because nothing exists yet to take its place in this function. If you can show me another software solution that outperforms the MicroOS I will gladly stand corrected.

As far as patents go I care not to search for them, they have already been posted to this board long ago. Of course they don't cover the concept of miltiple codecs/DRM's. LOL!! What ever gave you the idea that they did?

As far as other devices needing the MicroOS we'll have to see about that. Video applications using a microdrive come to mind as do VTT/TTV devices in the future. Multi-functional 3G phones using removable flash are another possible market for the MicroOS. Where is your vision?
