I like the NASDAQ both because it is more liquid with more issues and because I am a conspiracy nut. I have seen too many times where they ramp up the NDX or OEX stocks to hide money leaving the broader market. Heck my favorite chart is a composite I made of all the indexes together. That one shows whenthe cash is coming in and when it is leaving. No market cap weighting schenanigans. I want to see total dollar volume in and out and I watch the notes and bonds also.
