Jim:

You are very kind. I think I'll buy a few on your $2 billion list, creating my own little fund. Thank you very much for taking time to share your thoughts.

Peter

One I'm looking at is DTE ($30), a boring old utility, but... Yields just under 7%, price/book about 1.15. Dividend appears very secure.
One but here is a 32% interest in PLUG, which translates to about $8/share. Also, some utilities are getting a bit more of a telecommunications twist (look at MTP today), DTE may be able to participate in a small way, given its acquisition of MCN, which has pipelines in Mich.
Comments, thoughts, anyone?

James

What do you think of AER; they have only 2-3 year history. What would be the risks with this stock?
Thanks

Hemant

Sad, sad, sad:

biz.yahoo.com

One of the reasons to buy BRK instead of a value fund -
even if *you* stick with the guns, the fund may
go belly up because of withdrawals. :-(((
Not to mention the domino effect of selling depressed
positions to get cash for withdrawals.

I hope your company James is doing better.

Jurgis

James,

I'd like to extend my thanks to reminding me to look at CCG (posted around 3/30) I looked at them a little over a year ago, before their 1999 move to 39 and passed. I got in before going on vacation on 3/30 around 28. Incidentally, I had an opportunity to take a peek at CCG's newest mall under construction in Orlando. It looks like they may have another good property.

I believe you are also a holder of LHO? Do you or anybody else have any expectations for the performance of LHO for the remainder of 2000 or 2001? I was in around 11 1/2 in December and it's moved into territory where I typically get itchy to sell. (Note: My history tends to be that I sell early more times than I sell at the right time)

Thanks.
