Tony,

The following is borrowed from Ted on the AMD thread. It's not exactly moving the stock to new highs today. Still, the earnings estimates keep going in the right direction.

RESEARCH ALERT - Intel buy rating reiterated
NEW YORK, March 29 (Reuters) - ING Barings said on Wednesday that analyst Peter Wolff reiterated his buy rating on computer chip maker Intel Corp. <INTC.O> and set an 18-month price target of $180, saying the stock has the potential to move 35 percent higher.

Earnings per share estimates for 2000 were increased to $3.04 from $2.95 and an estimate for 2001 of $3.55 was introduced.

Demand is strong for all speed segments. Flash memory unit volume demand and pricing are both very strong.

The new Internet business areas in Web-hosting and sales of network processors are growing, but still remain relatively small compared to Intel's major business lines.

Shares were up 5/16 at 136 in trade on the Nasdaq stock market.
