"BTW - since you were up in the wee hours of the morning posting on SI, why didn't you throw together a replacement operating system for flash memory and sell it to Lucent and Intel."

How much money has EDIG made by selling their software to Lucent and Intel?

EDIG has never revealed the details of these deals, nor the quantities involved. I suspect that the quantities are very limited (no more than a few hundred copies, for development kits) and that they are paying no more than a $10/unit licensing fee - if that. It's quite possible that NO money is changing hands, and that EDIG has done it in hopes of referral business - referral business that I feel will only result in very limited sales.

I'm not convinced that there is much money in it - and, besides, they already have one - why would they need another?
