as i have stated, i embrace all option strategies, but i've found over the past year, that the volatility, especially to the downside suits the put selling strategy best. timing of entry, based on a panic, or otherwise non applicable event, that does not alter fundamentals creates an inflated implied volatility.....even if the stock goes down from that point, frequently put premiums will normalize and lessen. choppy markets require better timing for call buys then put sales..

covered call=naked put.

so selling put doubles your exposure. ok if that is your intention.
