Conservatives think they're the only ones who deserve to succeed, and that government just gets in their way. They consider all taxes confiscatory, and refuse to admit they benefit from the things their tax dollars buy.

Conservatives believe in the human spirit and that people should have most of the control of their destiny.
Liberals do not believe in this concept and are arrogant to the point where they want to control the public and actually believe that they are smart enough to redistribute the wealth. Kind of a control freak thing. In the end, government gets too large and out competes the private sector.
In the case of Microsoft. Conservatives might believe in a free market system and that any monopolistic behavior will be worked out in a free market. Our seemingly liberal DOJ seems to believe that they have the task of helping along the free market. History tells us, leave it alone.

I doubt any thinking citizen would believe this. An incredibly cursory examination of the facts would bring to light instantly the fact that many goods and services can, and should, be procured by a society collectively.

Anyone who pays less than the average tax burden is a parasite, while anyone who pays more is being exploited. Our current spending levels have been achieved by politicians convincing voters that the price of their proposals will be paid by someone else. Voters, fooled by this scam for decades, entrench these irresponsible idiots in all levels of public service, perpetuating the damage.

The lies have been told so repeatedly otherwise sensible people now believe them.

Cheers, PW.
