I read this mixing data and voice users in one cell at the same RF frequency as a way to put the 1Xtreme bunch back in their places... i.e. here's the very nice capacity gains you get from separating data and voice, and here's the degredation caused by combining them. Take that MOT and NOK.

Anyone else find it extremely interesting that the first 1X call took place without any help from those Nordic CDMA stalwarts, or the Batwing guys? Samsung.... think that's not a shot across a few corporate bows?
