I am glad,I am not the only one who understood it that way.I would also like to add,I would under no circumstances follow that train of thought, which seems extremely high risk.I think the hardest part of GG is identifying a true tornado from just strong seasonal or annual cycles within a sector that will never produce a gorilla.Fiberoptics might be one of those sectors.

Moore...But it seems to me his thinking is "evolving"

I've been following this discussion on Moore's thinking from afar, and it reminds me of a discussion Lindy and I had last December, or in January. Simply put, Moore's thinking should and is evolving, given the growth of the Internet and the changes it is inducing in business.

We indicated several times before that Moore is "making it up as he goes", floating trial balloons, etc. This is not a criticism of Moore, as he has supplied us with a wonderful framework by which to understand Tech issues. One of my concerns with the Godzilla concept, sexy as the name is, is that it is without substance at present. Bruce Brown was kind enough to quote Moore awhile back in which Moore confirmed exactly this, in that Godzilla is a concept idea, that "hasn't been fleshed out".

Bottom line, I think the basic principles of the FM are intact, and important. I think we should be open minded about the rest, such as entry points, godzilla plays, definitions of godzillas, etc. I think it is hard to defend "godzilla", pro or con, when Moore is obviously evolving. Same may be true for other issues, too.
