Hi Islander, not being a technologiest or an industry's insider, I ve no answer to your query. However, I ve learned my lesson to laugh at YHOO! three years ago thinking it has no match to the industry levithian of the time, MSFT [still a levithian, I should add.] I guess what makes the US market an envy of the world [some may dispute that, but like it or not, the US is the leader] is that a company can become great when mgt seizes the oppty. Who would ve thought INTC has become such a dominant force after ceding the DRAM market to the Japanese? Who would ve thought MSFT has become the 2nd most valued corp with a OS not even of its creation? Who would ve thought the networking gear developed by a married couple, who have walked away with less than $200MM, has become the most valued company in the US? Who would ve thought a value co like MEAD is suddenly thrusted into the limelight of tommorrow technology?

So, we ve to ask: is this a joke or is the joke on us?

Good luck

best, Bosco

Strange things happen in this abnormal. Who would have thought Corning Glass Works became Fibre Optic Cable manufacturer in 1996? I always associated GLW as dinnerware maker.

Yes, this is a joke. Another low float daytrader special. At 20 the stock was undervalued, at 70 it's as you implied, a joke. I have heard but not yet confirmed that the deal could be worth as little as 100k. I will post further details if that figure can be verified. The press release is about as vague as you can get. No doubt, that was the intent.
