Robert: Margin is at a peak. It has gone vertical in recent months. As for "I told you so" -- well, when you disagree with somebody, you can always say they make the call "late" or too "early". William, for example, would never admit anybody who disagrees with him is ever right. At any rate, I don't much care. Fact is, there are morons on this thread who are morons because they don't know the difference between making a lucky call on an "overfed pig" (ref. H.James, 1999,2000), and having a brain and knowing how to use it. Fact is, pigs can't fly, no matter what you feed them. They come back down to earth -- the higher you ride them the more they flatten your bank account when the land on your face.

edit (H James is not a moron -- the reference is to his use of the term overfed pig)

A test of the 200dma of the AMEX internet index will take a fifty percent drop from here -- and many of these net stocks are already way off their highs.

My brother, a very smart man(at least he think he is:), sold all his stock last Oct, anticipating a stock crash due to, ahh year end selling, then Y2K, then tax selling, then simply "stocks are just too high". He called me again today and asked if I'm doing okay in the market, I told him I've a 10% haircut in my portfolio today, but I also told me that it'll take a much, much larger drop in my holdings to put me into negative this year!
For market to go back where it was in Oct, it's like 40% drop in Naz ? I am sure all these people who has missed this huge run and is holding sizable cash can't wait the Naz to drop that much to get into market.
