Eski -

Actually the selling starts around the end of April so you have a couple of good weeks.

This year though everyone is going to be ready for the July-October dump. So maybe some are getting out early.

Best regards,

L

Yeah and you know what will happen during the earnings run, ""BUY THE RUMOR SELL THE NEWS."" like always.

I think the sell the news happened too early. One would have expected the selloff late April or mid April at the earliest. The way I see it---this dumping of the large cap tech stocks won't last (which includes JDSU). It means we can rally into earnings.

This quarter the earnings are going to be better than they were last April--with more upside surprises.

I still see the parallels to the early January drop. People wanted to get out before the earnings in order to beat the rush. That drop was not sustainable. I think the same will happen this quarter and we should bounce.

Of course if one is a very short term investor(as i used to be), it may be better to wait until the tide turns. However, if one waits too long, the best gains could be missed.

Another factor is that the strategists are talking about cutting their interest in techs. They would have gotten their people out before their changes were announced. Now they have created the fear -- so they can start getting back in. You can bet Abby is already looking for the time to increase her weighting in tech. The selloffs create the opportunity. Joe Battipaglia and others are looking are probably thinking the same thing.

One has to remember that just because in the past the best gains occur from October to December----it does not have to happen this year. The market is discounting these expected rallies and selloffs far in advance. Therefore the rallies and selloffs could occur at other times in the year and probably not follow the pattern of last year.

IMHO, we should see huge gains August to October.
