your logic is correct, however we have a special situation here where the entire market was crashing and we have a stock that is very very oversold..

The sell off was a panic sell-off and nothing else, I Expect a nice relief rally tommorow.

Where we go from there I Don't know but I expect EMLX to bounce tomrmoow.

Currently its trading at 125 afterhours

peace

Hello Guy!

You are absolutely right. To my mind it would be insane to commit much $$$ into EMLX now. Maybe a little now, but better wait for a bottom first. I got in @$27 in August and thought I was late to the party. I had been watching from May of 1999 on..... Iïm just going to wait how this plays out. If we stabilize at around $100 I might buy more.
Similar thing with QLGC. Getting whacked. I still remember last year (Sep/Oct) when it traded down to $66 pre split. That was when I bought more. These two FC stocks are damn volatile.
Disclosure: Iïm long BRCD, QLGC, EMLX. This is no advice to buy these stocks. Iïm no expert with regard to the technology. I just follow revenue developments. As these have been indicating rapid growth up to the latest earnings report, I donït see any reason to reverse my strategy. Good luck to all longs!

Neville

Guy: I am impressed with your trading discipline. It makes sense, I understand it, but it is hard not to pull the trigger on quality stocks that have been killed for no apparent reason. I have made big money on the dips in high flyers such as EMLX, JDSU, SDLI, GLW and RFMD.
On the other hand, I am currently smarting from my MLNM buy at 180 when it was already 40% off its high. It continued to fall another 50 points, unfortunately on a day that I was in transit and out of touch with the market. Obviously, I regret my decision on MLNM (especially when I could not monitor it).
However, it has been my experience that you can make more than enough on these type of trades to make up for the bad ones if you keep close mental stops.
