Ed it certainly doesn't make sense for holdings to get valued on a 100 share sale.

It makes sense to me if the guy meant to buy at 134.125 but typed 143.125 and didn't catch his mistake before he approved the bid. I often am nervous while entering a limit trade while trying to capture a price on a fast moving stock.

Unless it was a typo as suggested you know how it happened. Tom called Bill and said "Lets bump the price. I'll offer at 143 and you buy it."

If it works the higher price will make it into someones newsletter.
