Well, I don't see why. Both the DOW and the NAS have corrected. By now, perhaps most of the people on margin have been cleared out of the NASDAQ. I heard it was a serious problem there.

Some of the DOW stocks like GE and TYC look good. Many of the NASDAQ stocks have been hit hard. AMAT's PE isn't unreasonable and the company will have tremendous earnings. I also expect EMC to report great earnings.

So many companies will have very good to excellent first-quarter earnings!

I'd call this latest downturn, "the Abbey Cohen Effect"
