Is it possible that Etrade's computer systems are the problem with the past 30 day sales of IPOs.....that when the IPO shares change from Cash to Margin in your account, the systems are set to say it's ok to sell and not be penalized.....but unfortunately instead of making the change at 30 days, they often aren't changed from Cash to Margin for up to 40 or 45 days (putting us in "jail" if selling before the change). Will be interested in trying out this theory, or if anyone can dispute it, let me know.
