EXTR is the market share leader in L3 switch ports but is a distant 4th in revenue generated. Funny how Extreme was but an itch to Cisco in terms of switching (L2 included) just a little while ago. I guess the Gartner Group press that Extreme got in packet forwarding technology superiority over other vendors is getting the attention of what at that time *were* paying Cisco customers. >>[miscellaneous ramblings] Not even worth commenting on....made little sense to me. ....you forgot Juniper....BTY, nice article in IBD about Juniper eating Cisco's lunch on the high-end router market, and that is with just a base of one product offering that is not even a year young. >>since market share in core routers has gone from 100% to 70%+ there is a problem?
