How about the cooking channel - want to buy the same pans the master chef uses - click - you just did.

buy a book at the book channel.
buy the same tool Norm uses to make his wooden pieces at the new yankee workshop.
buy the same piece Hef uses his wooden tool on at the playboy channel.

If you go back quite a long way you will find that we cried endlessly for various TV initiatives from VOD to interactive. Bob Zacks realized his interest down this line by buying IATV for $1.50/share. This feature may be the saving grace for the new transport facility orientation of the company. It sure beats "content"!

"athm and the start page to be in everyone's face."

"This is worth nothing. I have AT&T@HOME now, want to guess my default start page?"

Hi gpowell- You make a good point here. Maybe a lot of subscribers will be like me...so lazy that they never change the start page. I just buzz by it to get to the site of my choice. Until....now that is. Those large, colorful photos are catching my attention. That start page may show a photo of the Texas tornado devastation. It's hard not to notice and be interested. I find myself clicking on the photo headlines to read more about the disaster. Before I know it, I read to see how the Cubs are doing. Guess what? It took eight months, but I am finally using the start page. (I guess I did before to find local movie times, but that was it.) AT&T@Home got my attention with those huge, multi-colored, attractive, in-your-face photos. They have me hooked! They found what tripped my trigger....national news! Now...if they can get me to take the time to customize the new homepage, that hook will be set really deep, and I'll soon be ready for the frying pan. By seeing the @Home 2000 previews, I am interested and willing enough to try it. I rarely use Excite as a search engine, but through this customization, I may be convinced to use it more. Before long, I may even do some shopping and buy something. It all started with the news photos...something that caught me.

I appreciate your (and others) excellent posts this evening! They were a good read following a trip to take the dog outside. Now if I can only get back to sleep!

Could today be another *up* day?

Ed

G- You get my vote for Evening at the Improv. Tunafish on toast must luv u.

My point is simply that clarification has been added to a long clouded sky. Lots of things can come out of the sky but the overall precipitation should be constructive to growth of share price and the position of ATHM. Anyone care to sell their shares now? <g>

I am not depressed.
