I'm content with my strategy, and prepared to take the consequences of this bold strategy. The same as anyone should that takes a bold strategy.

chic,

Apparently you feel that the stock market will not be your undoing. Okay. But who's to stay that it won't be something else....like a girl or a job; a girl who all your friends told you was trash and to leave, or a job where there is clear evidence that the boss is abusive and dangerous and yet you are compelled to hang on until it seems too late and you fall into a pit where you see only dispair and hopelessness. You don't think its possible? Think again.

Yes, in hindsight, the MSTR man was wrong in his stock strategy and took some very bad risks...we do not know why he was compelled to do so and how compelling the reasons truly were. But the point is not what were the mistakes that caused him to end up where he did but rather what are the steps he will need to take to get back to safety. We all know that suicide is no solution and that there is no coming back. The complaints against Gary were not that Gary was critical of the man and his errors in judgement but that they overruled any compassion he felt for the man and for his despair. I have not lived as long as some but I have lived long enough to know you can not predict how your life will run; that you will be shocked by the weird twists and turns one's life can take and the impossible situations and predicaments that overwhelm you at times. And then when you have given up and have lost all hope and are filled with horrrendous self loathing, you will pray that there are others around you that have not given up on you and are strong enough to embrace you with compassion rather than unfeeling logic; will support rather than criticize; will love rather than condemn.

Lets hope neither of us ever get to that place.
