Hi Thean - The SEV fiasco, huh? You can't take all the credit for that, I have some other stinkers that I found all by myself <ggg>. I too am holding for the time being, but if I hit my trading goals this year, I may use it as a tax loss if it doesn't recover sufficiently. Glad to see you're doing well too.

Alex

THEAN...

thanks for the good post and the heads up. It's also good to hear that more people went through struggles in the beginning years.
I said in another post: for me the problem the last two days is not necessarily the money but realizing with shock that i through out of the window the little knowledge and planning i had and i just traded as an emotional slave. Before the open i thought i would sell on a rally and i could've gotten out of my position with minimal losses. But i got greedy and then things turned and i was just emotionally stunned and couldn't do anything. I actually took my stop losses out to compound my losses. This kind of behaviour is was hurting me yesterday: Realizing this "dark side" in my trading and how difficult it is to deal with this. Not sure if books can help! I think realizing and observing it might help and divising a trading strategy that deal with these weaknesses(more automated, put in stops and leave computer to not change them etc.).
Mentally i'm prepared now to take a big loss this week and try to look forward of regaining discipline and the joy in trading. The last two days have not been easy on my...or my wife!!!
