Nearly 1,600 people attended the two-day event - the largest conference in the world devoted exclusively to the broadband wireless industry - compared to more than 700 last year. Attendees came from 28 countries this year, more than twice the 13 countries represented in 1999. Approximately 65 companies were exhibitors at the 2000 conference, compared to about 30 last year.
