Re: "In other words, you think AMD could have huge revenue growth over the next few years without needing to build a new fab??"

Comment: AMD will have phenomenal revenue growth for the foreseeable future until Dresden capacity is fully utilized. accceleration in the growth rate is already evident wheen one looks at the 35% revenue increase in Q4 vs, Q3...For those who remain unconvinced that the revenue growth rate is in its acceleration phase, Y2000 revenues estimated at a minimum of $5 billion, up from Y99 of $2.8 billion should put to rest any remaining skepticism, if an AMD price on December 31, 2000, several multiples of its current price of $55, doesn't!

Chic, dollar value will be extremely hard to assess as the asp's wobble around a lot. But assuming the Tbird is as good as rumors floating around IBm you alluded to, and the fact Tbird won at Cebit, AMD easily could get >$300/chip x 25million produced = $7.5 billion dollars. Now I realize producing and selling are two different things. But the potential is there. If you can back up your rumors, I would bet on AMD for all its worth; at least until Willy comes out with regular ddrsram. Especially now that the institutions are buying AMD.

hearn,

Last quarter AMD had its highest revenues in its history and I think Fab 25 was at a 70% utilization rate...what does that tell you?
