Not that strange. As a youth I had many occasions to hitch hike on our countries high ways and bi ways. I could be the only creature on a road for miles and miles when a car passed me by. At first, I found it strange that the passerby would busy themselves, pretending to check their makeup in the mirror or looking at an interesting fence post on the other side of the road; it eventually occurred to me, though, that there is an obvious reason for this type of behavior. Some times it is necessary for people to other wise occupy their minds when presented with a contradiction in principle. People in the USA have not wanted to give conscious attention to the contradictions in principle presented by this president. I am firmly convinced that we will when his behavior doesn't present a struggle in our day to day doings. Just a matter of time really.
