In Dresden at least, there is also a lot of vacant land around to expand the fab.

(Someone estimated initial production at 1000 wafers/week. I saw the square footage of all AMD's fabs in the SEC version of the Annual report. The capacity for expansion is absolutely huge."

Comment: What's more it looks like AMD's Dresden timing is bang on with accelerating market acceptance of its young champion Athy taking place in a burgeoning 150 million per annum microprocessor global market!
