Oil stocks have been mired in the uncertainty of crude oil prices. But as the picture becomes clearer, watch for these stocks to move higher, observers say.

Investors have good reason to be confused by the recent performance of oil stocks, which traditionally trade on the price of crude oil. As crude prices rose to $34 a barrel, these stocks languished. But now that crude prices have fallen, the stocks are moving higher. The paradox can be explained by uncertainty about oil prices.

I just skim the article these days. This thread is such a good source of info that by the time I read the articles the information contained in them is 3-6 months old. I read them mostly for an indication of sentiment. Now that the OPEC meeting is over the only thing to really watch is OPEC compliance and refinery throughput. I'm trading mostly on technicals here.
