Hank, welcome to VLNC. First you got to know the rules, like on the RMBS thread you are not supposed to post short positions or equivalent short positions like naked calls (VBG), it is not looked upon nicely. You are allowed to sell your long positions only after the thread issued a special dispensation (tougher to get here than from the Pope) (VVBG). Last, you are right, the extreme negative OYC tick at -1090, does indicate a possible reversal soon, but, it is not over until the fat lady sings, and as I mentioned on the MU thread, Maria cannot hit the high "C" anyhow (I believe she'll have problem with middle "C").

Good luck to all, and take the above as a mild effort at humor on a day I am sure many need some distraction from the bleeding folios.

Zeev

Hank,
Good to see here. Is the BROC at $20 party still on?
This stock VLNC has tested longs for a year or more. This stock for some reason suffers a lot of negative sentiments among investors, even after:
(1) CIBC recommendation with a target of $50
(2) Capital Guardian's investment of about $32MM (long)
(3) hedge fund - Castle Creek conversion (most of it)
(4) Cell phone battery PO's and reliable delivery of goods to customer like QCOM/GSTRF
(5) settlement of a nagging lawsuit with "disgruntled" investors
(6) several patents in the pipe line, and JV's with Korean company Hanil, etc.
Some call the company for information, others do not bother. Strange, but true. Passions can run high sometimes and well-coordinated short attacks occur sometime. Probably yesterday's drop of 8 3/4 with 3MM share volume is one such attack.

MSFT is entering the wireless with MiPad, trying to use their Windows CE. The Windows CE is supposedly power hungry. Waiting for PO's for PDA's and lap tops.

I recall how strongly and patiently you held onto FSTW. If you are in VLNC, welcome aboard. Good luck. Ram
