i guess it depends on the issue, because my equity options at CBOE were fine, while during the same time SPX options were terrible response.

I played some (equity) option exchanges off one another this morning till they all woke up :-)
that wasn't my intent, but I readjusted my option trades since the B/A was there... I would have been foolish not to.
other than that (which I see from time to time even w/o fast mkts) I didn't notice too much else. even on the equity options I was working (whose underlying dropped a ton today) I was able to get trades off reasonably fast... much, much better than my SPX trades.
I'm pretty sure I had multiple equity option orders at all 4 exchanges today thruout the day.

Dave,

weird stuff going on the options exchanges this morning
(and yesterday).

the entire day yest AMEX equity option quotes were off by 2pts or so from the other 3 exchanges (many diff strikes I was monitoring). I tried to get filled at AMEX, but no fills... other exchanges ok.

this morning, same thing... so after half hour I said "ok, what the heck, I'll float a test of 5 contracts"... and I got filled. AMEX quote was 1.5 pts higher than the other exchanges.
I tried to flip them to one of the other exchanges.
no go after several tries... I'm not sure it wasn't my broker as they were messing w/ their accting system (stupid time to do it after the open, but that's another story)... or autoex was off across the board... or a bit of both.

i then saw option quotes go the opposite direction of the underlying... that was weird... soon they stablized on all 4 exchanges.

i tried PCX and CBOE a couple of times each. then went to PHLX... on 2nd try, they executed my trade.
both trades were reported late on T&S, but they were there... at least they look like my trades and my broker still lists my trades. netted 1pt.

I'm sure some ppl got burned on the wrong side of the AMEX quotes yest (and this morning) as the AMEX is the primary for this underlying.

very weird.

**edit... oh, on top of the PHLX fill, they improved my limit price by 1/8
that was a nice touch :-)
