very OT: Paul - Glad you saw the bears "live". Their habitat is wired with 12 cameras, from what I've heard. There aren't many places they aren't visible. Nighttime is best for panda viewing. During the day they mostly sleep in the trees.

I'm glad you enjoyed the hippos. I've never seen them do anything except act like a pool full of boulders. Of course I think all animals are as dumb as a box of rocks, compared to the pandas. Last week, one of the zookeepers left a walkie-talkie in the panda habitat. The mother panda immediately noticed it and went over and picked it up. She held it up to her ear, listened a minute, then carefully set it down and walked away. The zookeeper frantically ran in and retrieved it.
