not quite that simple, sorry. SEG shareholders will be VRTS shareholders (or lord only knows shareholders of what, or dead or alive, or moved to a different address, divorced, married, the list goes on) by the time the IPO comes out. It simply will not happen, I'm afraid, and also fear that the very generous idea of yours would completely defeat the purpose of SEG management in this whole sordid deal (mho only and would love to be wrong.)
That's it for me - had enough SEG for one day (and maybe one lifetime!) Very best of luck, guys - I'm afraid we're all going to need it.

Lynn,
Warren Buffet says,"There's a sucker in every deal. And if you don't know who it is, it just could be you."
One of the amazing things about this market for the last 1 1/2 years is that in so many cases, the most naive investors have made the most money. This seems like another instance since you apparantly have no idea of the value of the stock you invested in, and don't even understand it when helped by everyone on the thread. Doesn't it make you wonder a little when you are alone in not recognizing a robbery in process (and you're the one being fleeced!)Congratulations on a good investment!
