From a Comcast employee

on will @home gain market share? or how much?

It doesn't matter if there is competition...

THERE WILL BE...

and all the large MSO'S will have a high end solution such as @home and a low cost/interactive solution such as Worldgate or something else...they want choice... they want competition...the high end solutions like @home can download files to computers...the low cost solutions cannot...

AT&T dodges the choice bullet saying they have competition and everyone is happy...

That said...the Big MSO'S want the high cost solution out first (@home) for the hard core broadband seekers...this will be the bread and butter...

As I have said before I work for Comcast and in Philly market which is 2 million strong @home is just beginning to release and will be fully ready in less than 2 months...at which time they will be EXTREMELY aggressive in rolling out @home...

Cable knows they will win the broadband war and are rolling services out as quickly as they can...

the Dam has a crack in it and when it bursts...@home's numbers will skyrocket...

In Philly that dam will burst in MAy/June...
That is not even considering AT&T...which I have seen the CEO talk over and over about the services they want to offer...
Stay the Course.
