Analysis of Press Release This is my analysis of the strengths of this Press Release: 1)We have a strong, aggressive management team in place that can get the job done and deliver. From PR: "Plaintree Systems has executed all of the agreements necessary to complete the acquisition of A.T. Schindler and its FiRLAN product line. The company also finalized its private placement with Taurus Capital for the sum of $10-million." 2)We have $$$$'s to execute strategy and will have more $$$$$'s in the future for R&D, marketing, recruiting, acquisitions etc. From PR: "The $10-million private placement with Taurus Capital, raised through special warrants at of $1, also entitles the holders of each special warrant to purchase one-half of a full purchase warrant at the price of $2 (closing price on March 29, 2000). The purchase warrants will be exercisable for a period of 15 months from the closing date." 3)The ATS deal is done and they have been moving into LAN offices all week and will be finished the process this weekend. Ready to move forward next week! There are new products being worked on in both wireless and switching. We are poised to take advantage of a hot sector. The wireless sector is hot and will continue to be hot for a long time to come. From PR: "This week marks the integration of the FiRLAN staff into the Plaintree marketing and engineering facilities. Plans to accelerate research and development on both the wireless and switching LAN product lines are now under way." 4)Anticipated press release to come out next week ( Tuesday from what I hear) announcing first profit in 10 years. As sales continue to increase as a result of more aggressive marketing, better distribution, new strategic relationships and new found enthusiasm within the company, I believe there will be more profitable quarters to follow. From PR: "We look forward to a new and profitable chapter for Plaintree," said David Watson, Plaintree president and chief executive officer. "With a consolidated engineering staff and funding to take us through the upcoming intense phase of research, development and marketing, we intend to bring new products to the marketplace in the near future."
