Yes ... you're right on target ...

In my model I take into account one more possibility that expands beyond this. I *will* have "selective replication" to other directories. This will allow me to share information with others, though a common, trusted community. I then continue to have a certain level of control over my identity, and can pick and choose the attributes that I was to share. Additionally, I don't have to tell people where my "primary" personal information is actually stored ... you might want to publicize the location of your Personal Directory, however I'm not sure I want hackers knowing where mine is stored ... ;-)
