Style of market makers?

Older survivors of market making sell first and buy back. Pull back 30% then 70-90% for 2 years. Destroy all their customers.

Today, too much 401k money comes in. All buyers and no sellers. Some high flyers demonstrate the new market makers' style. Move price up bring in customers. Average shorts on the move. The higher the spread the better to average the cost of shorts. Tremendous appreciation of stock valuation, and supply and demand balances. Then they put in the professional managers to run the companies at peak efficiency. The stock moves even higher.

When SEMI opens, will it be the old or the new style of market making?
