George, yes it may well be a behind-the-scenes bail-out. and yet, it only exacerbates the problems...knowing they will be bailed out every time is after all what leads the big players to steadily increase their leverage. and we all will ultimately have to pay the price for the games they play. as was the case with LTCM, the perpetrators will get away scot free every time, with their pocket books intact. regards, hb
