Rudedog, I guess the cheerleaders will always be cheerleaders. I posted the percentage drop throughout yesterday (not just after the close). And therefore, my statement is accurate. Furthermore, in your zeal to defend cpq you are trying to hang your hat on one day. Furthermore, even if you take the thursday close rather than the wednesday close (big deal - the thrust of my point is the same) how the heck did you come up with your 7+% drop? Your still not in the right ball park. Again, cheerleaders just don't get it. I understand that you have been predicting a drop in pc market share. I agree that is what you said. You are perfectly correct in that regard (am I being clear?). The fact remains that pc market share has dropped. Is that a falsehood. And despite what you and others might say. The market share drop is not, in the opinion of many, constructive even if mc said that was part of his strategy. I didn't say i had a lock on the truth. your opinion is valid and appreciated. Differing opinions are just that differing opinions. I refer to facts. I have never said any of my opinions are fact and do not now. As to the story, my statement still remains. Your beef is with the author of that article not me. If you think that article is full of nonsense so be it. Don't hang what that article says on me. In other words don't shoot the messenger. In conclusion, look at my posts throughout the day yesterday. You will see that I posted during the day regarding the percentage drop and therefore the wednesday close is true and accurate. But really, don't you think it is a little silly to try to hang your hat on one of my posts being after the close and therefore thursday is the correct cut off date? That is getting a bit picayune.
