Alok, Intel hasn't gotten near a 100 PE. The highest according to Big Charts was about 68 on March 22. Still, I get your drift, and Intel's PE is at all time highs. Point is, what can these big techs sustain? The levels this year are unprecedented. The thing I keep coming back to, in my mind, is that the companies that have the most to do with continuing the buildout of the Internet, and broadband and wireless communications, could continue to keep superheated PEs. The number of hosts (computers, workstations, hand-held devices) connected to the Internet is still doubling every year, with no end in sight. Now, if the hand-held ones really take off, the doubling could even accelerate. These are really different times we live in.
