Pierre, I can't imagine any but the most 'back to nature, rough-it' of the Winnebago mob would NOT have a Globalstar phone. The cost of the phone is trivial compared with their daily operating cost. How can they order-in pizza if they are out in Bryce Canyon without a Globalstar phone? Then again, ordering pizza is roughing it, so even the serious outdoors, back-to-nature types will need a Globalstar phone. They just need to place the powerful magnetic aerial on their roof, get the car-kit bolted onto the wall or somewhere inside and hey presto, they can report road-kill anywhere in the USA/Canada, from Yosemite, to Dauphin [which is in Manitoba]. Those sales will be fast and easy to make. How many Winnebagos are there roaming the planet? If I was a Globalstar salesman, I'd be going to the touring van businesses really fast. They'll be an instant sale and once they've tried it, customer demand will mean they put them in all vehicles. I'd take the wildly enthusiastic comments of the GMPCS sales people with a grain of salt. Sales people are generally over the top with enthusiasm. But maybe they are right! Readers! BUY YOUR GLOBALSTAR PHONE HERE!!! gmpcs-us.com Here is what it does for you:gmpcs-us.com [odd - it still says the handsets are $1495, NOT $999!! Maybe GPPCS is not that great a marketer] Tell them Silicon Investor sent you...tell them to cut the minute prices and you'll use a lot more of them. Actually Jon, GMPCS do seem to be doing a very good marketing job. You can buy on line and I suppose they will get them delivered direct from the end of the QUALCOMM production line. They might be the Dell of the phone business in 5 years. They can't cut the minute price themselves [Globalstar LP and Vodafone/Airtouch have to cut the wholesale prices]. Maurice
