"Connecting to Seattle"...obviously you are not a local<g> Portland is Silicon Forest...home of Intel, Triquent, Sequent and other "-quents" out the ying yang...and a tiny metropolis of only a million 3.. But that's okay...most folks don't know Portland OR even exists.

RE: you bot LVLT for the coal mine...
I would like to hear more about that frankly...
we talking back east coal mines,
upper midwest coal mines,
Texas coal mines
southwest?

Is it the good hard coal or the softer, dirtier coal LVLT is into?

I saw that footnote on bloomie and usually do NOT invest in companies who go too far afield from their "primary focus.", i.e., a coal mining company going into telecommunications, or a telecom company going into coal mining.

So, I'm willing to be enlightened about their "coal biz"...would you elighten please?

All I know about the coal business is some family association, geographically with the quad cities area of Illinois coal mining biz in the 40-50s after moving from the coal fields of texas back during the depression.

Thanks in advance for this exchange of info.
