Pamela, Let me anticipate JT's reaction for the benefit of the vast majority on this board who have him on a well-deserved "ignore" status. He will first claim that the release is nearly a year old and therefore irrelevant, ignoring the fact that sometimes it takes markets longer to develop than products to fit those markets. Then he will use his intimate knowledge of inter-corporate relationships to state with great authority that the association is insignificant and a publicity ploy by e.Digital, ignoring the fact that Lucent wrote and released the announcement. Finally, he will draw upon his immense technical knowledge gleaned from his years as a highly sought-after keypunch operator to state that he could have designed and built a music player in less time than the engineers at e.Digital have taken. Oh yes, he will also sputter about "criticising the messenger" and "how does all this look to new investors" and threaten to have his Mommy call our Mommies if we keep picking on him. JimC

Pamela, why was that "for JT"? I've seen that press release before - it's almost a year old. Why are you dredging it up "for me" now? But now that you've brought it up... "Lucent Technologies ... is working with e.Digital on the development of a new handheld device for listening to dowloaded music from the Internet. The new device, to be manufacturered by e.Digital..." That was almost a year ago. Are they manufacturing it? Where can I buy one?
