Jim,

"Either the article is Bogus...
or
Dell is really going with AMD in a big way and is trying to not PO Intel too much right off the bat. Kind of the "'ole ease it in"...
or...
Dell is leaking the information with the hope of baiting Intel into a sweet deal on CeleronIIs, PIIIS or Willys."

Take your meds and relax, we will find out soon enough. It's just business.

John

Jim,

re: Dell and AMD

This sure stinks of a bogus trial balloon imho.

The volume of 100K is meaningless.

Of course AMDs low end the spitfire will outperform the coppermines by a mile so perhaps Dell has figured this out.

Sure will be amusing to see AMDs low end chip outsripping the best that Intel has to offer and SOON in Q2 2000.

Perhaps then the intel idiots will wake up and smell the roses and see they have turned to s**t.

regards,

Kash

Jim, NCAA final four game has Michigan State and Wisconsin shooting like a couple of grammar school teams. Of course, the grammar school kids have an excuse - further from the basket.

Tony

Edit - rooting for Florida today?
