<Could we construct a table as follows:-

1. Country
2. Poulation
3. Percentage of country covered by mobile phone services
4. Percentage of country that lives outside area covered by mobile services
5. Percentage of country excluding 4. above that works in or travels in that part of the country not covered by mobile phones.

That would be good. Service Providers will use such local information to show how useful a Globalstar phone would be in an area. So somebody living in Alice Springs could be shown a picture of Australia with terrestrial holes in red and coverage in green [ugly looking but maybe good colour choice to convey fear of lack of coverage].

If you go in the red area, you are in trouble! Sort of like a reverse of the British Empire world maps in the early 20th century [the British Empire was red and it was the 'safe and civilized zone' of the world].

A Web site with coverage, where you can zoom in, right down to your local residential area, and see the terrestrial coverage holes would be ideal. I suppose it would be very hard to do and be accurate since coverage is changing rapidly.

I doubt that's going to be too important since the main customers of Globalstar will be those who KNOW they are out of coverage nearly all the time or all the time. The Winnebagoists KNOW they are out of coverage lots of times. Salespeople KNOW they have dead spots all over the place.

Limtex,
I think you have a very good idea. On Mar31 when I had a chance to speak with BLS I broached a topic of major concern
to many people who were kind enough to let me represent their shares as we expressed our frustation with stock performance. I suggested and he indicated an interest in the idea of updating far more freqently the info on both LOR and G* websites...He deferred to current I/R which is allegedly going through a major overhaul at this time.It would not cost much to hire a computer whiz kid to update the contents of info approved by management. I can't take credit for this idea since it came from several
sources in the deluge of e-mail leading up to Friday's conversation but first from avery helpful lawyer from back east. I tried to stress to BLS that many issues here expressed on these threads were very likely surrogates for what he will face at annual shareholder's meeting. If I may, I suggest you communicate with I/R later next week with your idea. I can speak from extensive recent personal experience that LOR/G* folks DO follow these threads although I remain skeptical as to what extent if any we affect actions. In any case it's certainly worth pushing the idea as part of a marketing/PR policy. Also FWIW, in my conversation with him on Friday I expressed thanks for his time and acknowledged
he had the important issues to take care of with his TWO companies and he CORRECTED ME!, saying, "No, actually only one." I thought that said quite a bit and confirms from his own lips that he's betting the farm on G* success, at least that's how I read it, and he was very enthusiastic(but when has he been otherwise?) about G*'s future. Thanks for putting up with the suggestion long enough to wade through
it. All the best, Jim Black
