Re: "Dear Elmer: They may simply mean that they used the lastest compiler that generates code that runs on BOTH machines (what BASE was supposed to mean (no fancy optimizations))"

Why don't you read AMD's webpage and draw your own conclusions. The clearly state that c++ 4.0 is the latest compiler available.

amd.com

This is factually in error as you can see that 4.5 is available, even as a free evaluation version:

developer.intel.com

Clearly AMD has a webpage that portrays the competition in an unfavorable light based on false information. The facts can not be in dispute as they are right there under your nose so you can see them for yourself.

I think the easiest explanation is that the webpage is simply out of date and if AMD can have an out of date webpage, why can't Dell as well? Stevie Blunder continues to reference an out of date Dell webpage showing CuMine availability as 30 daye. I am simply providing some balance here showing that AMD can make the same mistakes. After reviewing the facts, you do believe AMD is simply making an error here don't you? You don't think AMD would intentionally misrepresent the facts do you?
