Kenith - RE: "Dell wants a couple hundred thousand units of the top speed immediately or no deal."

But they accept 200 1GHz PIIIs a week from Intel?

This Dell-AMD rumor sure is interesting, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Re "Dell wants a couple hundred thousand units of the top speed immediately or no deal"

Does anyone belive that Dell can dictate the terms in todays
market. I think that if Dell gets the chips it will be on AMD's terms. As the old saying goes "when you got them by the B***s their harts and minds will follow".

One other point. Why didn't Dell release a celery ll.
Maybe waiting a couple of weeks for something better?
