Re: "Can you show me some real world benchmarks that parallel that statement?"

No I can't. It'll take some time for optimizations to make their way into applications.

Re: "BTW, when you reply to a post that was written with fixed font, could you uncheck the option when you reply? It makes the post a whole lot easier to read because the reader doesn't have to scroll. Thanks."

I'm sorry about that, it's annoying to me too but the "Use Fixed Font" box is unchecked.

Cirruslvr,

can you think of any reasons eLMeR continues to demonstrate how desperate InTeL is?

I mean, a caminogo mobo, rambust, a cpu that will probably die in the summer heat if you can find one, a compiler that , well, sucks. Just to get close to one of Jerry's Athlons.

Figures don't lie, but liars figure.

InTel can only compete on price alone, because they can't compete on performance. I expect DELL will get a sweet deal from iNteL.

The link you posted on AcesHardware on the new Athlon tweaks, has a lot of the iNtEl's shortcomings discussed.
No wonder "athwipe" pauL has dropped the heat issue.

I'd like to hear anyone's comments on it. Definitely the botched gates issue, and temperature.
