Bell Atlanic/Vodafone, David I forgot to include this. The joint venture combines the U.S. assets from Bell Atlantic Mobile, AirTouch Cellular, Primeco Personal Communications and AirTouch Paging. It is anticipated that it will be further strengthened by the addition of the cellular and PCS assets of GTE Corporation. PrimeCo Personal Communications, L.P., provides digital wireless service in more than 30 major cities in Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin. The company has PCS licenses covering 61 million potential customers in 10 major trading areas and has over 3,500 employees. At the end of the first quarter 1999, PrimeCo had more than 1.1 million subscribers. The company is based in Westlake, Texas.
